The biggest race in the history of the State of Nebraska is coming to the I-80 Speedway this Thursday-Saturday, July 21-23, with the Best of the Best in both dirt late model and modified racing in North America.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will co-sanction the $40,000-to-win late model event with the Lucas Oil MLRA while the modified portion of the show is sanctioned by the United States Model Touring Series (USMTS) and pays $5,000 to Saturday’s winner.

Things kick off on Thursday, July 21, with the Bobby Parker Memorial for the Nebraska 360 Sprint Car Series plus the MalvernBank.com SLMR Series and B-Mods. This night will also be open practice for the Lucas Oil Late Models and USMTS Modifieds. Tickets are just $15 and racing starts at 7:15 p.m.

Then on Friday, July 22, it’s qualifying time for both the Lucas Oil Late Models and USMTS Modifieds with double qualifying heats, dashes and the USMTS “Chase” Race.

USMTS drivers will run two heat races from two different starting spots with the top 10 qualifiers running a 10-lap Dash that will pay $800 to win and $150 to start. The Dash winner will draw a pill from 1 to 10 to set the starting line-up for the 40-lap, $5,000-to-win, $500-to-start main event on Saturday.
